Mission and vision of the Association "Dea Dia"
Name "DeaDia" derives from the name of a goddess in ancient Roman religion, where she was a symbol of growth and prosperity.
For this reason we have chosen the name of Dea Dia to represent our ideas and principles- we dream about prosperous and productive society, with educated and empower indivuduals eager to learn and develop.
Our vision is to see Serbia with empowered people walking with their heads high whom are independent, proud to stand for their rights and express their ethical, critical and creative mind-sets.
“DeaDia” is a women's organization that respects ethics of diversity and will work with everyone, regardless of nationality, political beliefs, religion, race, sexual orientation, mental or physical ability, or any other difference.
Association "Deadia" is established in December 2013 to achieve the objectives in the sphere of education, human rights and rural development.
Our aim is to contribute to innovations in educational system, raise the awareness of human rights (particularly women and minority) and empower children, young people and women to integrate the culture of human rights in their everyday life.
We give special attention to representation and empowerment of marginalized and vulnerable groups, reduction of multiple discrimination and having positive impact on the development of rural areas through education.
We are situated in a multicultural region of Vojvodina, Serbia, in the municipality of Kovačica
where we live among 5 different ethnic communities (Slovak, Serbian, Roma, Hungarian, and Romanian),
Therefore, we also make efforts to strengthen the intercultural and interethnic dialogue among them, by developing their ability to understand, respect, and value diversity.
