Many research show that schools are places where the gender discrimination is learnt and developped.
The institution of school, learning materials, schoolbooks and social interactions support gender stereotypes and during childhood period play very important role in the life of a child or a young peson - they represent how the relations in society should be organised.
In this way they don’t give the young people opportunity to participate equally, actively and productively in social life.
Therefore, it is essential that children and young people learn on gender stereotypes at an early age because it will affect their awareness on gender equality and also empower them to adopt a culture of respect for women's rights in their daily lives.
The aim of this project was to raise the awareness of the primary school students on the gender stereotypes and in that way empower them to adopt a culture of respect for women's rights in their daily lives.
